Lo vivido en Toronto por la selección de fútbol sub 20 fue doloroso, no es fácil ver las imágenes de jóvenes compatriotas vejados por la policía canadiense, las palabras del jefe de la policía Willliam Blair, no convencen a nadie. Todos los que ocupan su cargo, usan la misma frasecita para justificar sus excesos "El trabajo de mis agentes fue responder en una manera firme pero justa (?), para finalizar la violencia. Están entrenados para hacerlo así y es lo que hicieron", lo que no dice este gorila es, que no estaba en los barrios bajos haciendo una redada, ni estaba frente a delincuentes.
¡No señor Blair! (¿será el del proyecto de la bruja?) eso que usted defiende se llama simplemente abuso de poder.
Super triste esto y sumando que nos tragamos 3 goles con los argentinos, peor panorama no podía existir, peeeeeero faltaba la guinda del postre ....

No pude ver todo el partido...
En general, encontré la campana de estos muchachos excepcional... les fue muy bien... Pero, también, los encontré muy agallados, como si le hubieran escuchado al Bonvalet...
Claro que en lo agallados se les pasó la mano... ya se veía venir el problema en los juegos anteriores... pateando a jugadores en el suelo... expulsiones...
Quizás esta falta de civilidad... o disciplina... intranquilizó a la policía canadiense... seguro, al arbitro lo tenían preocupado... no habían mas de 2 policías en el estadio.
En fin, desde lejos, me pregunto: qué pasa con el trabajo de disciplina o psicología de los jugadores... o es éste el plan, aleonarlos?
Cumpa, y no precisamente Chuma. Cuando te comentaba que este tema tenía bastante paño que cortar, no era por querer tirar a partir a nadie ni para defender causas perdidas, pero del análisis de los eventos acaecidos, podemos tomar los siguientes puntos:
1.- Sobre el apaleo y tratos vejatorio recibido por nuestros jugadores, ya no me atrevo a meter las manos al fuego por nadie, sólo basta recordar el tema del maracanazo en que todos defendimos a Roberto Rojas, y no es por querer crucificarlo que lo saco al tapete, sólo es para destacar que, mientras no se aclare la situación, no podemos defenderlos a brazo partido.
Pero, indistintamente si son culpables o no, es cierto que no se trata de balandras, son jugadores de fútbol que estaban ofuscados por lo que ellos creían había sido un robo en descampado, por lo que el trato debió haber sido uno muy distinto al que le dio la policía canadiense. Y yo que los creía civilizados. Pero esto no debe hacernos caer en excesos como los que ocurrieron en el apedreamiento a la embajada de Brasil en el caso que indico al inicio, ni tampoco debe hacernos cambiar nuestro parecer para con el pueblo canadiense, sólo se trató de brutalidad policíaca de un grupo de agentes del “orden”.
2.- Abocándonos a lo meramente deportivo, el logro alcanzado es bastante grande para nuestra realidad, pero no debemos perder de vista que, los entendidos, incluyendo a muchos argentinos, sabían que esta era la selección con mayores posibilidades de salir campeona. Si bien al final los argentinos arrasaron con los premios, la cosa hubiese sido muy distinta si Chile hubiese salido campeón, y posibilidades existían muchas de que así fuera. Lo más probable es que la lista de los mejores del mundial habría estado liderada por Toselli, Medel, Sánchez y otros. Hay que recordar que el vencedor escribe la historia.
3.- Hasta cuando vamos a confundir pachorra o personalidad con estupidez y violencia innecesaria?, lamentablemente nuestros jugadores siempre han confundido la fiereza en la marca con la agresión en descampado, lo que nos ha valido una cantidad de tarjetas rojas que han hecho fracasar a muchos equipos al quedar en inferioridad numérica, valga recordar a Ormeño jugando contra Brasil, Cavaría, a quien le pasaron la factura en Argentina, Medel al reaccionar a una agresión a la cual pudo haberle sacado partido para que el sancionado hubiese sido el argentino y no él, y tantos otros. En eso tenemos mucho que aprender de los equipos del atlántico, ellos agraden, si lo podemos catalogar así, sabiamente, de tal forma que rara vez salen damnificados. Y no es que quiera que seamos “matones de barrio con inteligencia”, sino que debemos actuar de la misma forma como actúan con nosotros, si nos pegan, pegamos pero sabiamente, si nos juegan, como normalmente lo hace Brasil, nos dedicamos a jugar porque, al menos esta selección, tenía fútbol para pararse de igual a igual con cualquiera. Debemos sacar enseñanzas de la final, y ahí el DT argentino dio cátedra, El equipo estaba descontrolado el primer tiempo al recibir cobros inapropiados, al igual que acaeció con Chile al enfrentarlos. Hasta el entretiempo todos pensábamos que estaban bebiendo de su propia medicina, pero el DT se encargó de hacerles ver el error en que estaban cayendo y, en el segundo tiempo se vio otra actitud en el equipo, a tal punto de sobreponerse al marcador en contra.
4.- Se vio algo que nunca debiera verse en una transmisión deportiva, un seudo comentarista, al momento de ponerse en ventaja los checos, mostró la hilacha al indicar que muchos estaban doblemente contentos con la desventaja de Argentina, pero olvidó lo que, según yo, parece que no están enseñando a los periodistas en estos días, se trata de la “ética”. Un periodista no debe abanderizarse nunca con ningún bando, menos si analizamos que él está transmitiendo para todo un país en que la colonia Argentina es bastante numerosa. Eso es un insulto gratuito para ellos. EL periodista siempre debe ser imparcial, de lo contrario que se dedique a la farándula, en donde no hay regla que cumplir.
5.- Hasta cuando vamos a empezar a celebrar antes de tiempo?, hay un adagio antiguo que indica que “no hay que vender la leche hasta que no se ordeñe la vaca”. Los jugadores y cuerpo técnico, especialmente este último, logró mantener una disciplina que permitió mantener la concentración en los partidos y salir adelante con record de valla sin ser batida, puntero invictos del grupo, equipo con el mejor fútbol mostrado, un equipo aguerrido, etc. Pero no faltó la ministra que apareció con una invitación a desayunar en la moneda, tampoco los programas de farándula, los jugadores, que aún no le han ganado a nadie, andaban preocupados del peinado, del corte de pelo y otras estupideces por el estilo, y justo cuando más concentrados debían estar, previo al encuentro que entregaría al finalista con mayores posibilidades de ser campeón. Justo cuando el DT debió haber cortado de raíz esas desconcentraciones, hasta él cayó en la desconcentración al estar analizando la posibilidad de dirigir la adulta.
Para peor, al regreso de un largo viaje, en vez de gozar de la compañía de los suyos, a los que no veían hacía un mes, tuvieron que partir a tomar desayuno a la moneda. Si no ganaron el título, sólo fueron terceros, aunque hay varios jugadores que, siendo bien guiados pueden dar mucho por ellos y por el país, no sea que pase lo mismo que en las otras dos oportunidades en que hemos figurado con jugadores que prometían y que se diluyeron en el tiempo.
Podría seguir analizando muchos temas más que nos llevan a los fracasos a los que estamos tan acostumbrados y que queremos empezar a olvidar. Gente tenemos, lo que nos falta es la actitud y creernos el cuento de que somos capaces, y esto lo hemos visto en todos los ámbitos. Cuando nos creemos grandes nos da por gozarlo de inmediato, pero los deportistas deben darse cuenta que ellos tienen, en promedio, 10 años para sacrificarse y hacer fortuna, y todo el resto de la vida para gozarla.

Gracias por tu comentario, la verdad es que la parte futbolística y los aderezos farandulezcos ya habían sido tratados ampliamente por la prensa.
Mi idea en este post, era más bien expresar mi visión acerca del tema de la violencia policial extrema aplicada por los canadienses, la cual no justificaré porque estoy seguro que esto no es otro show como el de Rojas en Maracaná.
Más bien quería expresar mi solidaridad con nuestros muchachos, que si bien es cierto cometieron otros errores, en ningún caso se merecían el trato dado. Lo que ocurrió es simplemente XENOFOBIA.
Espero que el Gobierno chileno haga el seguimiento del caso, incluida querella y sacar de la policía canadiense a los patanes que la desprestigian.
